Purpose & Application

Designed to terminate a 3-core medium-voltage (MV) polymeric cable (XLPE, EPR, etc.) of cross section 300 sq mm in indoor environments (e.g. inside switchgear, indoor cable-only rooms, cable galleries).
Provides essential functions:
Insulation over the cable end
Stress / electric-field grading (especially around shield cutback)
Shield / screen termination (bonding cable metallic screen to ground)
Sealing against moisture and preventing voids or air gaps
Mechanical interface to the termination hardware (lugs, busbars, connectors)
Cold-shrink / silicone design means no heat or flame is required during installation. The kit body is pre-expanded and then shrinks when the internal core is removed, conforming tightly to the cable insulation surface.
